M-F 7:00AM-3:30PM (flexibility for OT when needed)
$17.00/hr
Overview:
Team member will be performing a variety of tasks necessary to support the painting operation
and to perform other tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Willing and able to learn all aspects of metal preparation necessary for an acceptable powder coating, and
achieve significant level of expertise. Will require operation and use of some of the following: hand
sanding, dual action sander, right angle grinder, drill, and other as required.
- Willing and able to learn all aspects of hanging parts.
- Willing and able to learn all aspects of washing parts using a pressure washer and appropriate chemicals for
cleaning parts.
- Willing and able to learn all aspects of inspecting and packaging parts to customer requirements.
- Visually inspect parts prior to and after task is completed to verify work performed meets the requirements.
- Will rotate in/out of the different tasks to keep multiple personnel trained.
- May operate ovens and monitor temperatures and cycle times.
- Must be willing to accept and receive supervisor interaction and assistance with regard to performing tasks.
- Detects and reports defective parts or other materials or questionable conditions to management.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety
regulations.
Qualifications:
0-2 years’ experience.
High School diploma (preferred) or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience in a fabrication operation preferred.
Able to read to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, part drawings, etc.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds and carry it 50 feet.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Able to wear the appropriate PPE as determined by management
- Able to work in different temperature climates.
- Available to work overtime (Saturdays and/or longer hours).
Tools:
Operate a various metal preparation tools, i.e.: dual action palm sander, right angle grinder, drill
Operate pressure washer.
Operate pump bottles.
Operate and maintain vacuum cleaner.
Other tools as required.
