Line Cook – Utica, NY Temp to Hire Full Time Wednesday - Saturday 10a – 9p (may have some split shifts) $20.00/hr.
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, portion standards, and food-safety guidelines. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced kitchen and maintains a clean, organized work area.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards.
- Set up and stock the cooking station before service.
- Maintain proper food quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
- Follow all food-safety and sanitation procedures.
- Keep the kitchen and workstation clean and organized.
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate orders.
- Properly store food and ingredients and monitor freshness.
- Assist with prep, cleaning, and other kitchen duties as needed.
Qualifications: - Previous kitchen or food-service experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when needed.
- Willingness to learn and follow food-safety procedures.
