Title:  Insurance Claims Validator Clerk

Scanning/Validation Clerks

This position is responsible for ensuring that Claim Information are correct and virtually assigned to each assigned examiner. This position is also responsible for ensuring that Miscellaneous Records are efficiently and effectively evaluated and reported. Determining appropriate template was utilized to ensure transactions are appropriate. Availability and reliability are key components to this position, requiring and maintaining a full time status.



  • 7:30am-4pm or 8:00am-4:30pm, with a ½ hour lunch.
  • After training is complete, can choose which of the above times.


Primary Accountabilities and Competencies:

  • Physically Validate Imaged Claim Information.
  • Ensure data has been reviewed and updated correctly.
  • Responsible for Validating items on an as requested basis from Department Personnel.
  • Manually Report Miscellaneous Records.
  • Consistently reach or exceed production goals of manual reported items per day. Production Goals will be provided by Supervisor based on work load.
  • Resolve unusual or complex cases.
  • Research processing and system issues and suggest solutions.
  • Review unclear requests and provide guidance to others in what the customer wants and how to fulfill the request.
  • Make recommendations for processing changes.
  • Escalate to supervisor as needed.
  • Perform other related work as requested or required.
  • Possess an understanding of HIPAA and adhere to Departmental Procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics & confidentiality.
  • Follow and support company guidelines and policies.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance.
  • Ensure customer privacy in and around your workspace and in all communications.
  • Maintain full-time status and reliable work schedule.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of ComCom and Administration System.
  • Work effectively with Supervisor to ensure miscellaneous items are reported timely.
  • Level of knowledge of products and procedures including an understanding of school, accident & health and special risk insurance.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize workflow.
  • Must be able to work within a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to present a positive and professional image.
  • Observe and comply with Company-established procedure


Education and Training:

  • Two years of post-high school education or equivalent experience.



  • Keyboarding skills
  • Insurance experience preferred
